Please note that you do not have to be trained in Berks in order to receive certification. All registered Skywarn classes are open to all spotters!
So what's the purpose of training?
Your training is actually an important part of being a member of Skywarn. It teaches you what to look for, and most importantly, what the NWS is looking for.
What should I expect?
Skywarn classes are a free, informative, fun filled 3-hour seminar that teaches you the basics of how the program operates, how to spot and report severe weather. After completing the class, you will be mailed a Skywarn Identification number, a certificate of completion and written review of what to report and how.
